Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 August 2026

SpinCube is made by one person. This policy says plainly what the app does with your data. The short version: it barely touches any.

SpinCube has no account system, no analytics SDK and no advertising. Camera frames are read on your device and discarded straight away. Nothing you scan, play or time is uploaded anywhere.

1. What stays on your device

All of the following is stored only in the app's own storage on your iPhone or iPad:

This data never leaves your device. It is not backed up to any server we control. If your device backups are enabled in iOS, the data is included in your own iCloud or computer backup, under Apple's terms — not ours. Deleting the app removes it all.

2. Camera

SpinCube asks for camera access so that it can read the colours of a real puzzle. Frames are analysed live, in memory, on your device. They are:

What survives a scan is a list of colours — nothing that could identify you or your surroundings. You can revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings → SpinCube → Camera; the rest of the app keeps working without it.

3. Motion sensors

The optional “tilt to peek” effect reads the device's motion sensors so the 3D view can shift slightly as you move. iOS does not require permission for this, the readings are used for the current frame only, and nothing is recorded or sent anywhere. You can turn the effect off in Settings.

4. Purchases

If you buy a SpinCube Pro subscription, the transaction is handled by Apple. We never see your name, email address, or payment details.

To know whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. as its purchase infrastructure. When you open the subscription screen or make a purchase, RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app-specific identifier, the Apple-issued receipt for your purchase, and basic device and country information. It does not receive your name, email address or Apple Account credentials, and the identifier is not linked to any profile of you. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

If you never open the subscription screen and never buy anything, the app makes no network requests at all.

5. What we do not do

6. Children

SpinCube is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13. There is no chat, no user-generated content and no way to contact another person through the app.

7. Your rights

Because SpinCube stores your data only on your own device, you already have complete control over it: clear your solve history in the app, or delete the app to remove everything. For the purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat, contact us at the address below and we will help you exercise your rights under the GDPR, the CCPA, or the equivalent law where you live.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.

9. Contact

Questions about privacy: tinuv.yang@gmail.com. You will get a reply from a person, usually within a couple of days.
